Mobility grants
Under certain eligibility conditions and within the limits of available funds, Sorbonne Paris Nord University can help you finance your project by granting financial assistance for mobility. Several assistance programs are available. These grants help offset the additional costs of studying or interning abroad.
USPN Scholarships
The amount of Erasmus+ funding depends on the country of departure and the type of mobility:

► Long-term mobility programs involve studies and internships. To be eligible for Erasmus funding, the period must be between 2 months (60 days) and 12 months.
► Funding may be granted for a maximum period of 12 months per study cycle (Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate) and may be divided into several periods within the same cycle.
For example: a Bachelor’s student can obtain this aid for an 8-month study mobility in Bachelor’s degree 2 and a 4-month internship mobility in Bachelor’s degree 3. A Master’s student can obtain this aid for a 6-month study mobility in Master’s degree 1 and a 6-month internship mobility in Master’s degree 2.

The Erasmus+ grant can be combined, provided you are eligible, with the Ministry’s Aid for CROUS scholarship students and with the Île-de-France Region’s Mobility Aid.
Sorbonne Paris Nord has established a partnership with the Île-de-France region, which provides annual funding to support the international mobility of its students. The IDF grant can be awarded each academic year and can be combined with other mobility grants, but its amount will be adjusted accordingly.

The ministry provides financial assistance of €400 per month for study or internship mobility programs in Europe or outside Europe. The duration of the student’s stay abroad covered by the grant may not be less than one month or more than ten consecutive months. During the course of their higher education studies (Cycle 1 and Cycle 2), students may not receive a cumulative mobility grant exceeding ten months.
This aid, amounting to €320 per month, is available to:
► Students who are not receiving scholarships and who are studying or doing an internship outside Europe for a minimum of one month;
► Non-scholarship students undertaking an internship of less than two months in Europe;
► It cannot be combined with any other financial assistance offered by the DRI, as it is only granted to students who are not eligible for the other three schemes;
► The duration of the allowance cannot exceed three months per semester and six months per academic year for each academic year.

This scholarship cannot be combined with any other financial aid offered by the DRI, as it is only awarded to students who are not eligible for the other three programs.
Students at Sorbonne Paris Nord who are studying abroad are all eligible for at least one of the four types of mobility assistance available from the DRI, and can receive up to three types depending on their profile and project. However, external assistance programs also exist, but it is up to students to apply for them. Here is a non-exhaustive list:
► Municipal and departmental grants: A limited number of municipalities and departments offer financial assistance to support the international mobility of their residents. Check with your municipality and department of residence.
Financial assistance for an internship in Quebec: The Office franco-québécois pour la jeunesse (OFQJ) provides assistance with the application process and offers aid of up to €200.
► Financial aid for an internship in Germany: The Office franco-allemande pour la jeunesse (OFAJ) offers aid in varying amounts depending on the student’s profile and project.
► Financial assistance for an internship in a German-speaking country: The Interdisciplinary Center for German Studies and Research (CIERA) offers students enrolled in a master’s program in the humanities and social sciences who are doing an internship in a German-speaking country (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) a scholarship of €650 per month for a maximum of three months.

Studying in the United Kingdom
GREAT Scholarships
This program, set up by the British Council and British universities, enables international students, including French students, to receive scholarships to finance part of their studies in the United Kingdom. These scholarships cover various academic fields and facilitate access to high-quality education at recognized universities.
Studying in Japan
JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization)
This organization provides comprehensive information on studying in Japan and offers financial assistance, including scholarships for international students. JASSO is also a good starting point for understanding the Japanese education system and its admission requirements.
MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology)
This is the Japanese government’s scholarship program, one of the most prestigious and competitive. It offers full funding (tuition fees, accommodation, monthly allowance, airfare) to pursue bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral studies in Japan.
Studying in Korea
Global Korea Scholarship (GKS)
A flagship program of the Korean government for foreign students wishing to pursue bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees in South Korea. The scholarship covers tuition, travel, health insurance, and a monthly stipend. It aims to promote academic and cultural exchange.
Studying in the United States
Fulbright Foreign Student Program
An iconic international program that enables foreign students and young professionals to study or conduct research in the United States. It offers significant financial support (tuition fees, travel, health insurance, living allowance) and promotes cultural and academic exchange.
