Apply for the Pre-Daeu and DAEU

The DAEU is a national diploma that will grant you access to higher education and enable you to pursue studies aligned with your personal and professional goals.

To enroll for the first time at the UFR LLSHS, you must first submit an application and follow the procedure that applies to your current situation. Approval of an application is for educational purposes only and does not constitute enrollment. You will then need to complete your administrative registration.

The Pré-DAEU and DAEU programs are available exclusively through continuing education.

Admission / Application

Public eligible to apply

► Non-baccalaureate holders who have stopped their studies for at least 2 years

Specific conditions

► Be over 24 years of age
OR
► Be over 20 years of age and provide proof of two years of employment during which social security contributions were made

Training cost

► Tuition: €600
► Registration fee: €170 (subject to change in July)

Admission procedure

You must submit an application through the eCandidat platform and follow the instructions provided, adhering to the specified timeline.

Your application will be reviewed by the program’s academic committee, and you will be notified of the decision regarding your admission via email or by checking your eCandidat account.

Public eligible to apply

► Non-baccalaureate holders who have stopped their studies for at least 2 years

Specific Requirements

► Be at least 24 years old as of October 1 of the year the degree is awarded
OR
► Be at least 20 years old as of October 1 of the year the degree is awarded and, as of that date, provide proof of 2 years of professional activity that resulted in Social Security contributions.

The following are taken into account for the corresponding duration and are automatically considered equivalent to professional activity resulting in Social Security contributions:

► Raising a child as defined by Law No. 80-490 of July 1, 1980,
► Registration with the National Employment Agency,
► Participation in high-level sports activities as defined by Law No. 84-610 of July 16, 1984,
► Participation in a vocational training program intended for young people seeking employment or a qualification.

Training cost

The program is subsidized by the Île-de-France Regional Council.
For those eligible for continuing education funding:
► DAEU A: €2,025
► DAEU B: €2,700

For individual enrollment, after deduction of the CRIF subsidy:
► DAEU A: €506
► DAEU B: €675

► Registration fee: €175 (subject to change in July)

You may be eligible for a €1,000 grant (paid in arrears) through the Île-de-France Regional Council. To qualify for this regional grant, you must be a resident of the Île-de-France region.

If the academic committee approves your application, you must complete the administrative registration process on the Sorbonne Paris Nord University registration website before the deadline to enroll in the University Diploma (DU) program.

Application Dates

► Pre-DAEU: eCandidat application process starting June 2, 2025

► In-person DAEU A and B: eCandidat application process from April 28, 2025, to September 15, 2025

► DAEU A and B SONATE: application process on the dedicated platform starting January 7, 2026, for pre-registration for the 2025-2026 academic year.
