Studying outside Europe
Studying outside Europe is a unique experience that broadens your cultural and academic horizons. International mobility programs allow students to spend one or two semesters at a partner university in America, Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, or elsewhere in the world.
These stays promote language learning, independence, and the discovery of new teaching approaches. Thanks to mechanisms such as bilateral agreements and the MICEFA program, everyone can build a rewarding and educational international study project.
Bilateral agreements

We have established bilateral agreements with renowned academic institutions around the world, allowing you to participate in international exchanges outside Europe.
As part of a bilateral exchange, you will remain enrolled at your home university. You will not pay tuition fees at the partner university. You will take courses equivalent to your program at UFR, taught either in the language of the host country or, in some cases, in English. You will take your exams on site, and the grades you earn will be validated and counted toward your French degree according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
See the list of existing bilateral agreements at USPN.
When to apply?
Each year, two application sessions are organized by the university’s International Relations Department.
Deadline for submitting a complete application:

► Beginning of July: for mobility in the second semester of the following academic year.
MICEFA

MICEFA (Interuniversity Mission for the Coordination of Franco-American Exchanges) is a university exchange program between universities in the Île-de-France region and more than 65 partner institutions in North America.
This program offers students the opportunity to spend a semester or a year at an American or Canadian university, while benefiting from personalized support and academic recognition of their studies.
See the list of partner institutions.
